This is going to be fun
How often do you contemplate a dreaded task and say to yourself “this is going to be a real pain”? What do you accomplish by talking to yourself like that? You end up making the task worse than it already is. Is that really what you want?
Certainly there are things you don’t want to do, which nevertheless must be done. That’s why you need to get your own attitude working for you, rather than against you.
Instead of saying to yourself “this is going to be a pain” tell yourself that “this is going to be fun.” It may seem absurd at first, but think about that. The very absurdity is itself a kind of fun, so you’re already on your way.
There are probably people who would give anything for the opportunity to do some of the things which you consider unpleasant. The difference is in the attitude, not the task. And you can control your attitude. Make it fun and get it done.
